LITURGIA DE LA PALABRA

First Reading + Revelation 11:19a; 12;1-6a,10ab

God’s Temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. 

A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky: it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems.

Its tail swept away a third of the starts in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the women about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:  “Now have salvation and power come, and the Kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed.”

Primera Lectura +Apocalipsis 11:19a;12:1-6a, 10ab

Se abrió el templo de Dios en el cielo y dentro de él se vio el arca de la alianza.

Apareció entonces en el cielo una figura prodigiosa: una mujer envuelta por el sol, con la luna bajo sus pies y con una corona de doce estrellas en la cabeza. Estaba encinta y apunto de dar a luz y gemía con dolores del parto. Pero apareció también en el cielo otra figura: un enorme dragón, color de fuego, con siete cabezas y diez cuernos, y una corona en cada una de sus siete cabezas.

Con su cola barrio la tercera parte de las estrellas del cielo y las arrojo sobre la tierra . Después se detuvo delante de la mujer que iba a dar a luz, para devorar a su hijo, en cuanto este naciera. La mujer dio a luz un hijo varón, destinado a gobernar todas las naciones con cetro de hierro; y su hijo fue llevado hasta Dios y hasta su trono. Y la mujer huyo al desierto, a un lugar preparado por Dios.

Entonces oí en el cielo una voz poderosa, que decía:  “Ha sonado la hora de la victoria de nuestro Dios, y su dominio y de su reinado, y el poder de su Mesías”. 

Palabra de Dios.

Second Reading + Letter of St. Paul to the Galatians 4: 4-7

Brothers and Sisters: When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to ransom those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. As proof that you are sons, God sent the spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son then also an heir, through God.

Segunda Lectura + Carta del apóstol San Pablo a los Gálatas 4,4-7 

Hermanos: al llegar  la plenitud de los tiempos, envió Dios a su Hijo, nacido de una mujer, nacido bajo la ley, para rescatar a los que estábamos bajo la  ley, a fin de hacernos hijos suyos.  Puesto que ya son ustedes hijos, Dios  envío a sus corazones el Espíritu de su Hijo, que clama: “¡Abba!”, es decir, “¡Padre!”. Así que yo no eres siervo, sino hijo; y siendo  hijo, eres también heredero por voluntad de Dios. 

Palabra de Dios.

GOSPEL + Luke 1: 26-38 

The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin's name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, "Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you." But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.

Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.  He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his Kingdom there will be no end."

But Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?" And the angel said to her in reply, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.

“Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.  And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God." Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her.

EVANGELIO + Lucas 1,26-38

Al sexto mes fue enviado por Dios el ángel Gabriel a una ciudad de Galilea, llamada Nazaret, a una virgen desposada con un hombre llamado José, de la casa de David; el nombre de la virgen era María. Y entrando, le dijo, “¡Alégrate, llena de gracia, el Señor esta contigo!”  Ella se conturbo por estas palabras, y discurría que significaría aquel saludo.

El ángel le dijo, “No temas, María, porque has hallado gracia delante de Dios; vas a concebir en el seno y vas a dar a luz un hijo, a quien pondrás por nombre Jesús. El será grande y será llamado Hijo del Altísimo, y el Señor Dios le dará el trono de David, su padre; reinara sobre la casa de Jacob por los siglos de los siglos y su reino no tendrá fin.” María respondió al ángel, “¿Cómo será esto, puesto que no conozco varón?”

El ángel respondió, “El Espíritu Santo vendrá sobre ti y el poder del Altísimo te cubrirá con su sombra; por eso el que ha de nacer será santo y será llamado Hijo de Dios.

“Mira, también Isabel, tu parienta, ha concebido un hijo en su vejez, y este es ya el sexto mes de aquella que llamaban estéril, porque ninguna cosa es imposible para Dios.” Dijo María, “He aquí la esclava del Señor, háganse en mí según tu palabra.” Y el ángel dejándola se fue.

I love You above all things and I desire You in my soul.  Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.  As though You were already there, I embrace You and unite myself wholly to You. Permit not that I should ever be separated from You.  Amen.

Mi Jesús, creo que Tú estas presente en el Bendito Sacramento. Te amo sobre todas las cosas y te deseo en mi alma.  Desde que ahora no puedo recibirte sacramentalmente, por lo menos ven espiritualmente dentro de mi corazón, como si ya estuvieras en el.
