Youth Formation - 6th -12th Grade
SMCC Youth Ministry provides a dynamic ongoing faith formation with systematic and organic catechesis through Encounter!
What is Encounter?
Encounter is a series of inspiring evangelizing catechesis sessions designed for middle and high school students. It offers meaningful opportunities to encounter Christ, to foster a transformative relationship with Him, to build genuine community rooted in faith, and to become empowered to live and share the Gospel with joy, courage, and holiness.
Relying on the love and power of the Holy Spirit, we do this by hosting youth sessions that offer engaging catechesis, rooted in the truths of the Catholic Faith as found in Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the Magisterium. Through prayer and service, we help youth grow spiritually while encouraging them to discern their vocations and trust in God’s plan for their lives.
Typical Encounter Nights
Each Encounter night begins with time for community building, including games, activities, and snacks. Youth then experience a talk and personal witness, followed by opportunities for:
- Prayer and reflection
- Small‑group discussion
- Discovering their gifts and talents through in-house service projects.

Tuition
- $70 per Encounter student
- $85 per Confirmation student (includes Encounter fee)
- $140 maximum per family
Sacramental Preparation & Inquiries

If your child needs Reconciliation or First Eucharist, is unbaptized, or was baptized in another faith, please press the option
