Because we are celebrating both the 4th Sunday of Advent and the Christmas Vigil Masses on the same day, we are still obligated to attend Mass for both the 4th Sunday of Advent AND for the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord.
Examples for fulfilling your Mass obligation could be:
- Two Vigil Masses (Saturday at 6:00 PM, and Sunday at one of the Christmas Eve services);
- or a Mass on Sunday, December 24 (7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM - English, or 12:30 PM - Spanish), and then on Monday, December 25 at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM;
- or two Masses on Sunday (One at 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and one of the Christmas Eve services).
