What is Outreach?
Outreach is an activity of providing services to any populations who might not otherwise have access to those services. Outreach is meeting those in need of services at the locations where those in need are. Outreach occurs within and outside of our parish boundaries. In addition to delivering services, outreach has an educational role of raising the awareness of existing services to those who need them and raising awareness of the need for outreach.
Outreach is small acts of kindness for our neighbors, outreach is taking part in community service, or contribute to the Church’s large-scale humanitarian efforts serving those living in the margins. These actions connect us with our brothers and sisters and remind us that God often allows us to be the answer to someone else’s prayers.
