Staff Member: Annette Lee
When Annette Lee first joined St. Michael Parish in 2000 she felt so welcomed, that now in her new role as parish Stewardship/Safe Environment Coordinator, she wants to make sure others have that same experience.
“I was impressed,” she says. “They were open to having people become involved. Now, in this role, I want to continue that so others feel, ‘I belong here, and I can contribute and be active here’.”
The new part-time position combines the duties of overseeing all of the Stewardship activities of the parish, such as the Annual Stewardship Renewal, the Leadership Retreat and the Appreciation Dinner, and acting as staff liaison for the Stewardship Council, the Hospitality Committee and the Welcome Committee. She also maintains records for all volunteers’ Safe Environment training and background checks.
Annette had previously served on the Stewardship Council, which oversees the direction of all parish Stewardship renewal activities.
In looking ahead to her duties, Annette says she hopes to build on St. Michael’s strong Stewardship foundation. “We have been a Stewardship parish for a number of years,” she says. “I hope to continue to develop Stewardship as a way of life by encouraging more of our members to become involved. We have so many ministries here that everyone can find a place to participate!”
