Everyone goes through difficult times

Having someone to care, listen, and share God’s love with you can help you get through
the confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing. Stephen Ministers are ready
to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis
or difficulty such as

• Loss of a loved one to death, divorce or separation
• Hospitalization or terminal or chronic illness
• Loneliness or discouragement
• Spiritual crisis
• Unemployment or other job crisis
• Incarceration
• Aging
• Birth, adoption, miscarriage or infertility
• Relocation
• Recovery after an accident or disaster
… or otherwise needing emotional support and caring

 

Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus’ command to love one another. God works through Stephen Ministers to plant a seed of hope and healing through a one-to-one caring relationship that provides those who are hurting with the love and care they need to support them.

Stephen Ministers are members of the congregation who have received training in providing spiritual and emotional care.

Strict confidentiality is maintained,
including the identities of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship. 

Stephen Ministers attend to the care giving process and leave the results to God.

Stephen Ministers provide ongoing care for as long as it is needed.
