Confirmation
Teen Confirmation is a sacramental preparation program for young people who have reached the age of 15 years or older. The formation process emphasizes growth in faith through prayer life and service to those in need as well as activities in the community, family life, and social life. Classes take place on either Wednesdays or Sundays. Fall enrollment. Contact: Lori Muckensturm, 817-510-2715 or lmuckensturm@smcchurch.org. The parish offers a preparation process for adults over 20 who have not received the sacrament of Confirmation. Contact: Mike Bush, 817-510-2726 or mbush@smcchurch.org

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
The child must be a baptized Catholic, attending church regularly, have reached the age of discretion (usually about 7 years old), and have at least one active Catholic adult willing to support the child’s faith journey. Additionally, the child must have completed one year of Religious Education prior to the year he/she begins the preparation classes. Parents and children are asked to attend 2 Saturday sessions to prepare for each of the sacraments. Letters to all those eligible according to the above criteria and currently enrolled in Religious Education are mailed out in August with the dates and times of the classes. Sacramental Preparation is offered in both the fall and the spring. Contact: Kristine Hinojos, 817-510-2742 or khinojos@smcchurch.org

Sacrament of Marriage
Please contact Deacon Harry Heinz at 817-510-2737 or email hheinz@smcchurch.org at least eight months prior to the expected date of the wedding.  The preparation process is designed to support the couples' love for one another and to assist in the formation of a stronger bond needed to live out the commitment and covenant of Sacramental marriage.  Introductory classes are held on the 2nd Tuesday in September, November, January, March, May and July at 7:00pm.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults:
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process in which unbaptized adults and/or adults who are already joined to us through Baptism in another faith tradition are instructed and integrated into our Catholic community. Their initiation period concludes with the Rite of Full Communion in which the unbaptized receive Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist and those who are already baptized receive Confirmation and Eucharist. We receive new members into Full Communion during the Easter Vigil and on the vigil of Christ The King in late November. After an initial period of Inquiry (a time to ask questions and receive additional information about the Catholic faith), those who seek to join the Church go through the process on Sunday mornings starting with 9:00 a.m. Mass and concluding the class at 12:00 noon. Contact: Katharine O’Connor, 817-510-2727 or koconnor@smcchurch.org

If you have already been baptized in the Catholic Church and have already received the Eucharist, but have not yet been Confirmed, we welcome you to our Confirmation for Adults program. Please contact Mike Bush at 817-510-2726 or email mbush@smcchurch.org for more information.

Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available on Saturday from 4:00pm-5:30pm or by appointment. The Reconciliation Rooms are accessed through the Chapel.
