Formation at St. Michael
Adult Confirmation
The parish offers a preparation process for adults over 20 who are active participants in the sacramental life of the Church but who, for one reason or another, have never been confirmed. The participants are then invited to a Mass by the Bishop who will confer the sacrament once a year. Volunteers with a strong background in theology or teaching religious education are utilized on an as-needed basis. Mike Bush, 817-510-2726 or mbush@smcchurch.org
Echoes of Faith
This is the most widely used catechist formation program in North America. This free program is great for parishioners who are interested in becoming catechists or for anyone just interested in learning more about our theological traditions. To learn about upcoming sessions, contact Rosemary Keeley, 817-510-2731 or rkeeley@smcchurch.org

Marriage Preparation
Please contact Susan Taylor at 817-510-2745 or staylor@smcchurch.org at least eight months prior to the expected date of the wedding. The preparation process is designed to support the couples' love for one another and to assist in the formation of a stronger bond needed to live out the commitment and covenant of Sacramental marriage. Introductory classes are held on the 2nd Tuesday in September, November, January, March, May and July at 7:30pm.
To help with this ministry, married couples are invited to assist as team members in the preparation meetings for engaged couples by giving presentations on the sacrament of marriage and administering the FOCCUS survey. Contact Deacon Harry Heinz, 817-510-2737 or hheinz@smcchurch.org to get involved.

Men’s Club
The Men’s Club is a gathering of single and married men who meet for fellowship and social activities. In addition to past activities, such as building and refurbishing the church’s picnic area/tables over the years, the members assist other ministries (i.e., ushers, feast day activities, etc.). The group meets in the evening on the second Thursday of each month, and following a brief meeting, the members enjoy social activities such as cards and dominos. We welcome men of all ages to join and participate in this ministry. For more information, contact George Velek at 817-485-8033, georgiev@charter.net
Men of God
The Men of God is a gathering of Catholic men to discuss issues of living as a Catholic man in today’s world. This group meets every Tuesday (unless Parish is closed that Tuesday) at 7:00 pm, and uses the readings from the previous Sunday’s Mass as the basis for discussion with additional related material from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process in which unbaptized adults and/or adults who are already joined to us through Baptism in another faith tradition are instructed and integrated into our Catholic community. Their initiation period concludes with the Rite of Full Communion in which the unbaptized receive Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist and those who are already baptized receive Confirmation and Eucharist. We receive new members into Full Communion during the Easter Vigil and on the Vigil of Christ The King in late November. After an initial period of Inquiry (a time to ask questions and receive additional information about the Catholic faith), those who seek to join the Church go through the process on Sunday mornings starting with 9:00 a.m. Mass and concluding the class at 12:00 noon. Contact: Katharine O’Connor, 817-510-2727 or koconnor@smcchurch.org
If you have already been baptized in the Catholic Church and have already received the Eucharist, but have not yet been Confirmed, we welcome you to our Confirmation for Adults program. Please contact Mike Bush at 817-510-2726 or email mbush@smcchurch.org for more information.
